Ok these are the fish I want:
4 Angel Fish, 1 Rubber Pleco, 8 Rummy Nose Tetras, 6 Blue Platys or 6 Zebra Danios, 8 Pristella Tetras, 4 Cory Cats, and Possibly 2 Discus. Would these fish go together in a 60 gallon? This is how I would introduce the fish. I would start the tank off with the pristella tetras and the blue platys (Or the zebra danios if I decide to ge those instead). Then I would add the Rubber Pleco and the Rummy Nose tetras after about a month. Then I would get the 4 angels and the cory cats after another month passes. I while after I have all the fish listed above and the tank is doing very well I would try 2 discus. So do you think this would work in a 60 gallon? I am pretty experienced with aquariums and have done tons of other Research! Any Extra Info/Expierences about the fish I want would be great!

The 4 angels could lead to a war in the tank as they age. I would add more corys than 4. The discus really need their own tank so leave them out or just get discus. The rest of you stocking seems fine to me.

I read that Angels do best in groups of 4 or more, and that discus do well with community fish. Also as adults would 2 pairs of angels fight?

Yes two pairs will fight.
Discus need warm water 84-86F. They need water changes every other day. They are not great community fish.

OK... Im just going to try discus, and if It doesn't work out i'm not gonna buy any more. As for the angels.... i'm not sure.

OMG! I think the epidemic is u nasty people! By the way I have other tanks I can move the fish to. I also want to thank rich for actually answering my question.
Wow, chill everyone. I would advise agaisnt discus, take it or leave it. The tank is overstocked if you add the discus.
Now if you want a tank of just discus, then do it. Pick one or the other.

Not sure yet, but I have a while to think about. The reason I asked this questions was just to see what other people though. By the way thanks for answering!

I'm sorry, but do you know how many threads I've read today that the original poster decided to go against all advice that was given and do exactly what they wanted anyways? Usually to the detriment of their fish or potential fish.
If someone is going to do exactly as they wanted anyways then why ask the question?
Happens 90% of the time, nothing you can do about it.
I'm going to have to agree with everybody else here, Discus are like sterotypical high class british royalty in their peckishness and desire to make you wait on them hand and foot.
Discus: Oh it appears there is a nitrate reading of 1 today, I think I'm going to be ill. *passes out*

Ok, now THAT was funny! :hmm3grin2orange:
I agree on the Discus though. EVERYTHING I have read pretty much puts them in a species only tank with pristine conditions. It's the only thing holding me back on them. Love the fish but can't make the logistics of that kind of maintenance work. They also like to be "warmer" than many other fish which makes them poor tank mates in my opinion.

Do you think it is at all possible to do the discus? I do keep my water really clean.

No not really.
What do you have filtration?

To be honest, Either do all Discus or no Discus. I personally wouldn't mix them with anything else.
In my area they run about 40 bucks or more. It's your call in the end, but it is a pretty expensive freshwater fish to not be prepared for. They require special care, a variety of high quality food, lots of attention to water perameters.
VERY high maintenance for a community tank.

I don't have the tank yet im just planning ahead. I am planning on getting a Marineland magnum canister filter bio whelle pro or an emporer 400.

I'm with the others here that Discus are species only tank with the exception of maybe some cardinals or rummynose. High maintence fish and really not the fish for beginners. They also like lower pH and warmer water with more water changes. They are expensive as well and not the fish you want to have many failures of keeping.
Your other thread is discussing the keeping of angels so I will not repeat what I wrote in that other thread regarding that.
Once again, a couple threads were deleted here as well. Such attitudes we are seeing today!

Please don't get us wrong - we're not (I don't think) trying to besmirch your abilities at all.
Personally, I'm just trying to make sure you are aware of what is involved with Discus because I love them too. In my situation though, I know I do not have the tank, resources or time to care for them properly.
If you know what you are getting into though, by all means go for it! Many people keep them and have them thrive. You did say that you have done your research, and I believe you.

Im am not a beginer.
I just added that for others who are starting out in this hobby to let them know. That was just in general information.
I've been kicking around the idea of having 4 in a planted tank myself but my water is so darned hard where I live with a pH of 7.6 so I think I will have to pass on that species. Wish I had RO water.

Ya my water is pretty hard too. But my aquascaping is going to be a huge peice of drift wood. The pet store I go to also has really hard water so they shouldn't have a really hard transition. I'm still not sure right now what i'm going to do. I will probably start off with the tetras platys corys and pleco first and if everything is going well decide on the angels and possibly discus later. Now that I have read everything the people on here have posted I might forget the discus.
