Just wondering if i remember correctly........ can i place a clay pot in my aquarium???

Its just one of those ones from Home Depot.
I wanna create a "cave-like" environment for some of my fish.

That is the kind I have always used for my fish. I have 4 in my tank right now.
As long as they are not used, or finished, they should be ok. Wash them well though.

I am going to say yes for two reasons:

I've seen numerous tanks with clay pottery in them -and-
Freshwater streams have clay sediment below the gravel.
