JUST SIGHNED UP AND IS THERE A PLACE I CA FIND FOOD CHARTS LIKE THE PROTEIN/I FORGET.DONT FEEL LIKE LOOKING RIGHT NOW,BUT FOR GOLDFISH,TROPICAL,AND CICHILIDS. sorry the the spelling.lol
upload pics later on.

i got 2 tiger oscar cichlids 2 common goldfish 2 blue gourami's 4 small diano's

had 1 black molly till she died and i've had my 5.5in goldfish named Nora who runs the tank.1 tiger oscar been sick since i got it,but i know what the problem is and been helping him get back on his fins.he looks very skinny so that shows he hasn't been eating so i force him to eat.he drops down rock bottom all day.he's not pe'd off at me,but did notice really small white dots all over(you can barely see them)so i gave him ick away on the safe side.

i'm not a doctor but i've cured my fish a few times from swim bladder, ick, hole n the head and something i called "Rock Jaw" (choking on rock) where you squeeze your fish soft and and pull the rock.it was funny cause you can see big rock in her mouth and she keeps trying swim up but goes straight down mouth first.i let it go on for 3 mins till i helped.

Hi Ziggy, I don't mean to be rude, but could you please complete your sentences? I'm not a mind reader and have no idea what you are trying to say. Thank you.

It appears he doesn't know the size of any of the 3 of his tanks.

Can you at least tell us the stocking you have in each tank?

If you can measure them later that would be nice.

WELL I DIDNT COMPLETE MY SENTENCES BECAUSE THATS THE FIRST THING EVERYONE ASK.EVERYONE THINKS THERE A PRO AND THERE NOT.so why tell anyone what sizes my fish tanks are if i been buying custom fish tanks and have had fish tanks since i was 10yr old.i'm now 25yrs old.i think i know what i'm doing dont you.

Actually, no, I don't think you are as informed as you might be if you are keeping oscars and goldfish as "pet" tank mates. I don't think people were trying to agitate you but trying to get a feel for your situation with the tanks so they could offer constructive advice.

I've been keeping horses for about as long as you've been keeping fish. What I've experienced is that any time I start feeling too smug in how much I know, something happens to show me how much there is still to learn.

First of all, thank you for the complete sentences. Now I can understand what you are saying.

Second of all, there is no need for you to be rude and yell like that. I didn't realize the first thing everyone asks is for you to complete your sentences. It must be very difficult to have a conversation with you. Or maybe other people are better at reading your mind than I am.

About the tank sizes, people ask because you have a total mess of fish. It doesn't matter how long you have been HAVING fish, there is a big difference between having fish and keeping fish properly. Anyone can have fish for 15 years, just keep buying new ones when the old ones die every couple of months, no big deal, right? Doesn't mean you have a clue as to the proper care and environment for the species you have.

If you have all the fish you say you have in a single tank then you have no clue what you are doing. If the goldfish, oscars, and tropicals are all in different, suitable, setups then you actually may have a clue as to what you are doing. For right now I'm leaning towards the former. And I don't believe you're 25 years old, you write like a 15 year old who is trolling. Goodbye troll.

just to let everyone know my main fish tank in the basement is 18ft long 3ftwide and 4ft tall.i get in it just to clean it out.has 4 dividers 1 custom divider where the water pours in to my filter has small holes size of a sharpie marker.(marker fits right through it)then 2 pumps(1 submergible pump) that carry water to a tub that you use for storage.i use it to help filter the water.now to the last thing is 3 water hose (cut from 1 hose)1 going to the complete other side of the tank adding water and air to my tank 1 in the middle and 1 is used for my water fall before my 3rd divider.all connected to a pump that looks like this------[Only Registered Users Can See Links.] actual but close.mine is alot bigger and has a water flow rate changer(it can pump alot or barely any)i payed about $900 for mine.

Good for you, I'm glad you can go swimming in your basement tank. It surely is large enough for the fish you have mentioned keeping. Still doesn't mean they should all be kept in the same tank.

Why should you say what size your tanks are? Because, again, I must bring up the point that we are not mind readers. We do not know you have a swimming pool in your basement for fish. For all we know, all those fish could be crammed into a 29g tank, and with your superior experience and knowledge I'm sure you can see why we would be concerned.

People here want what is best for the fish. I'm not a pro, never claimed to be. I am simply a hobbyist trying to do what is best for my fish and help people out when I can. Obviously you are the pro here, with your vast experience and your basement pool tank.

right now all fish are in 45 but the 2 oscars.1 is in my big big tank over 400 gallons that was built and installed in my basement by some company i cant remember he's a little guy i put him in the 45 with goldfish during day so he has someone to play with.my second is above that tank in a 10 gallon.he was sick when i got him and been sick ever since.i know whats wrong with him so dont ask.SO I REALLY HAVE 4 TANKS BUT I DON'T COUNT 10 GALLON BECAUSE IT NONE OF MY FILTERS WILL FIT OR ANYTHING BESIDES BUBBLES.NOT EVEN ORNAMENTS.

NOW HERE COME THE QUESTIONS
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MESSING WITH FISH TANKS.
WHATS YOUR BIGGEST FISH TANK SO I CAN LAUGH.

FUNNY I GREW UP ON A FARM.
THING IS IF YOU DONT WANNA TELL ANYONE JUST ONE THING THEY WANT TO KNOW IT AGITATE THEM.I THINK IT'S FUNNY.I COULD CARE LESS WHAT PEOPLE THINK,BUT YES THINGS DO HAPPEN THAT WE DONT KNOW ABOUT.THERE'S A FIRST FOR EVERYTHING,BUT I AM NOT ASK ANYONE FOR HELP WHEN I CAN READ IT OUT MY LIBRARY AND FIND OUT MYSELF.

I TRIED TO CURE A FISH BEFORE WHEN I WAS 15 AND EVERYONE SAID MY FISH HAD HOLE N THE HEAD.WRONG WRONG WRONG.I WENT BY WHAT SOME 35 PEOPLE SAID AND MY FISH DIED ASAP.NOT EVEN 2 MINS LATER.SO I DONT LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE THINK OR FEEL THEY KNOW.I LISTEN TO MYSELF BECAUSE NO ONE IN THIS WORLD KNOWS HOW MY FISH ACT BUT ME.I'VE NEVER HAD A FISH THAT WONT COME TO MY HAND.I PICK UP ALL MY FISH AND THE NEVER TRY TO GET AWAY.THERE SO CALM.

If it died within 2 minutes of the advice given, it was already a goner anyway. How did you get 35 people to give you advice so fast? And, by the way, if you'd kept your water well maintained you wouldn't have had to deal with HITH.

Yeah, great fishkeeping skills, picking up your fish with your hands...do you carry them around in your pockets too? My fish really like it when I do that. They like to go for car rides and sometimes I take them for a walk in the park.

See, mine are more adventurous. They love it when I take them skiing. Some say the cold is too much for them, BUT IT'S FINE TRUST ME I KNOW WHAT IM DOING.

Oh, I've got you all beat. Sure, you may take your fish for walks in the park and skiing, but I have gotten mine to help me break my miniature horses for riding. They sit right up between their ears, grab a fin-ful of forelock, and hang on tight.
