I have a 27g planted tank.
1 Bristlenose pleco
1 Chocolate loach
1 yoyo loach
2 Dwarf Goumanis
2 Danios
1 Sparkling Gourami
4 Kribs.
And I am overstocked. How is it that I never see any fish. Looking in my tank at any given point, you will see 1 or 2 of the Kribs and that's it! I am frustrated.
Anyone else have this problem?

no not really. i see most of my fish because every time i walk in they all come to glass and they're like "feed me feed me".

I used to have that problem with my 55g before I decided to stock it a different way. All of the fish I had in it would hide in the plants and caves and I never saw any of them. Now that I changed the way I have it stocked I see fish all of the time.
Is this a new tank? Added or rearranged any ornaments? My primarily gourami tank is like that sometimes, they all hang out behind this massive log in the back sometimes. Sometimes they are all out doing their thing. I wonder if something is freaking them out? Maybe some of the fish are not getting along?

They are probably just getting acclimated. My cardinals all hid for quite some time when I first got them. Surprisingly the gourami was eating out of my hand by day two. Go figure

I have had the gouramis since December. They are the shyest fish ever.

It might be the move has freaked them out, and it is also a possibility that the kribs are harrassing the other fish. They are generally mellow for cichlids but they can still have their own personality.
Of course, you aren't likely to see much of the bristlenose since plecos have a tendency to stay out of the way and inconspicuous. Not sure what the "chocolate loach" is but I do believe that yo-yo's have a tendency to stay a little inconspicuous also if not kept in groups. Most loaches like groups of their own.

I don't think it's over- stocked. My 29 gallon has 9 tetras, 2 platies and 6 zebra danios in it and they have plenty of room yet.

The Kribs are so small they are being bullied by the Sparkling gourami. They are old enough to cause trouble yet and because they are all siblings, they haven't started fighting. After uprooting some of the wisteria, the Dwarf Gouramis are back out. I guess the tank was to open at the top. The YoYo loach is only out and about when I feed them. The chocolate loach is the same as a kuhli in personality, since he's on his own, hey hangs out in a cave all day.
I am probably going to add 3 more danio and leave it at that for now. I am sure thing will get more interesting when the Kribs are older.

really random thing, but in Vancouver i saw a albino krib. They are way nicer than regular ones.

I was actually going to suggest that you add more danios. They need lots of buddies, at the LEAST, a half dozen. And yeah, the pleco and loaches are hiding. the pleco likes to feed at night, and the loaches need friends as well.

I found out you sure can't mix species of danio's. I added 6 zerba's to my tank and 3 days later my longed finned were about fin-less. I love the long finned but having a hard time finding them.

I want to get one more of the same kind, the glow lights, and add a group of leopard danios. They are the exact size and shape as the glow lights, just lighter and spotted. I will see how it goes. The are all the same price, so if the leopards don't work out, I will have no problem exchanging them for more glow lights.

I was going to pick some up today, but it was too busy in the store. I will go again tomorrow. I need to get crickets anyway.
