Erm...im kinda speechless, but thankfully not typeless.... If anyone remembers this thread....

I spoke about my lovely new male Brichardi, how i rescued him from being picked on, and how i was going to give him a female at some stage.

So that was what 6-7 weeks ago. His tail is nearly fully grown, if not fully grown now, and i should take some pictures.

But ive just sat down, and thought i saw coral in the corner of the tank as he likes to pick it up and re-arrange the WHOLE tank.
I thought it had got stuck to the side or something.
Upon closer inspection it all looked rounded and the same size......

THEY are frickin eggs!

Can brichardi's lay eggs by themselves is my question, i mean without the influence of a male?? If not, when the hell did she breed, and why is SHE female!

LMAO

Yes i realise this, i'd been a little silly typing that. I knew this anyway though, but i didnt realise they laid eggs regardless of the presecne of a male or not.
I found it very odd as i thought they simply, paired up, found a cave, spawned together then raised the young. I'd not really heard of females spawning by themselves, but quite obviously it happens.

here's a couple of pics of her
before, after having her for 2-3 days ish?
