How many peacocks in a 55 gallon?

Just wondering what is recommended for the number of peacock cichlids in a 55 gallon tank. Thinking of doing an all peacock tank. Input would be appreciated.......also break down the numbers if I do an all male versus mixed male/female tank! Thanks!

I think Fishguy told me once 1 male and 2-3 females to a 55 gallon. You could do an all male tank and have more color.

With an all male tank od different species of peacocks you could get away with probably 5 or 6 depending on the rockwork.

With just 1 species I recomend 1 male and 3 females.

Make sure to have lots of rocks, and lots of territory.

Hmm...probably go the all male route if i go peacock at all now....3 or 4 fish in a 55 gallon seems unsatisfying. I might have to go smaller fish to get more, perhaps mbuna...
