Pulchers are beautiful fish... give em' time, they'll chase and bother each other soon enough!

They may not be Pulchers, I think they are Pelvicachromis taeniatus. I am not sure yet though.

If I'm not mistaken, they do seem to be getting more color already.

There are so many types of Kribensis, I am having a hard time pinpointing them.

Are they P. Pulcher, P. subocellatus, P. taeniatus? Or something else?

I guess I just wait till they breed. I think I have ruled out taeniatus though, they don't have nearly enough red.

Very nice looking fish.

I should take pictures of my gfs krib it looks amazing. Its dorsal and caudel fins are really long and elegant looking. Maybe if I think About it ill bring a camera to her house.

They are very cute.....good purchase there! I am glad you have told us that they may not be pulchers because when I saw them I thought their color looked a little different from the ones I had. Quite a bit more of the yellow. Not real edu-ma-cated on the various strains, but certainly keep us posted....and keep the pics coming:19:

I will buy you rechargeables if anyone takes your batteries:hmm3grin2orange:

There's a picture that I had posted of my male taeniatus in the photo gallery, you're fish don't really look like the pair I had.

They have little to no red on them. I am sure they will when they are older. They have a lot of gold on their faces and one has red on the dorsal. The male has an almost lavender anal fin and blue stripes on the outer edge of the rest of hi fins. The other thing that made me thing they are not "pulcher" is the rounded tail. I have seen P. Pulcher and they have a spade tail.

My krib died, but i remember after i got him he overnight got neon red and blue fins, and whenever he got his favorite pellets his stripe would go dark black.
