I just noticed on the two fake plants in my 10 gallon that the tips are turning a golden brown, guessing from my algae problem a few days ago. What's the best method of cleaning these?

After unpacking some only yesterday, care instructions was just as chrona said, then in big lettering, do not use anything else.

I never thought you would. I just found it funny that he said put it in big bold letters and then did not do it himself.

A soak in a mild bleach solution for awhile will work wonders without having to scrub, most algae will just rinse off.....then a short soak in some dechlorinated water to be assured all bleach is gone and back in the tank ya go! Just don't clean too much at once and throw your tank into a mini cycle.

I just have two plants in there. I already cleaned em, but do you think it was enough to make the tank go back into a cycle? I haven't checked the water yet, but everything seems fine. Didn't really think of that. I have rocks an driftwood in there though, so maybe that maintained what I had.

I doubt that cleaning the plants had much effect. Most of the bacteria is in the gravel and filter.

Yes, i wouldnt worry about a mini cycle. Your two plants dont have that much bacteria on them.

I do as Kimmers does with the mild bleach. Rinse the heck out of them and put them back. Some of my tanks have silk plants and I like the look of yours better than plastic but those you can't put in bleach or the color gets weird. I've soaked those in algae remover.
