I just added a albino tiger oscar to my current tank that already houses a regular tiger oscar. The oscar that was already in there is picking on the new guy and i'm wondering if this is normal and should calm down after a few days?

What size tank is it? Did you rearrange the decor before adding the new guy? If not, he's imposing on the old oscar's territory and you are seeing the problems.

It's a 90 gallon and i did rearrange the tank and turned off the lights. The new one is hiding out behind some decorations now.I am getting a 125 gallon tank at the end of the month for them.I know there is a natural pecking order, but i don't want the new one to get hurt.So should this subside in a day or two?

Really no good answer to this question. It sounds like you are doing the right things but the fish may or may not acclimate to each other.

Oscars can be funny with each other at the best of times. In thier natural environment Oscars take up a large territory & defend it from everything. Including suitable breeding companions. If you have two males it will be harder to get them to get along. Your old one might also not like the albino. I've seen tiger oscars in other tanks reject any oscar that was colored differently but accept oscars of similar color with no problem.
If the aggresion persists it might be a good idea to put a divider of tall fake plants up the middle of the tank to create a wall between them & two very clear cut territories. They can of course get through the plants easily if they want to but it usually helps if they don't see each other as much. The plants can be removed or rearranged after the oscars get used to each other.
I had to do this when I introduced my new tiger oscar to my existing one. The original fish hated it & used to try & beat the stuffing out of the new one. After a couple of weeks they started to calm down & they are now a breeding pair.
It might not work but it's worth a try if the aggresion starts to get too bad.

It sounds like your oscar is not happy about the new tank mate.
They could get along in a few days or they could kill each other .If they are male and female they will still fight.Sometimes the female will challenge the male to see if he is aggressive to spawn. Its an oscar thing! lol
Two males will fight often but still live in the same tank. Two females may even try to spawn together ,lol with lousy results!
Oscars are funny that way.Give it some time but keep a close watch on them.

Well he was really picking on him today so i pulled the old one out and put him in a quarantine tank for a day or so to see if that helps. Now will a 125 gallon tank be good enough if say they are both males and territorial? It's a 6 foot long by 18" deep by 22" tall.
