I went on my first long ride today. There were 7 of us,we went on a 250 mile round trip cruise to Raystown lake pa.The scenery and mountain roads are awesome. My Triumph performed flawlessly as I hoped it would, you limeys know how to build a bikethumbs2: I see the need now for a better seat and I can hardly wait for my Triumph romero jacket to get here, that would have been totally the thing to have today. It was just chilly enough throughout most of the day to make it nice.I wish I had some pics to show you all but honestly, the scenery was a bit wide for photography.I got 45 mpg out of the little monster so I am happy with that as well,,,,now if I could learn to keep the throttle turned back a bit(blush)

Glad ya got that baby perfected. Now you need a baby pillow to tie to the seat to keep that bum happy.

sounds like fun, glad you are enjoying your bike. I miss having a motorcycle, its been a few years. Wouldn't mind buying a new one soon, but if i save up the money id prolly wind up spending it on a tank anyway.

hehe, I wont be buying a bike anytime soon, but after reading your post i called a friend and I'm borrowing a customized one of these bad boys for the week, gonna pick it up tomorrow [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]

A 750 GSX-R the one i'm borrowing has a buncha chrome on it. Not my style, but I'll still love riding it for a few days even tho I hate chrome. My buddy went outta town for the week camping, told me where he left his key when i called him and said take the bike if i want, enjoy, I wont pay your medical bills if you lay it down, but you will pay to fix the bike. LOL heres to hoping I dont lay the bike down. I'm a pretty bad rider, but I wont take it over 80 or so.

Raystown lake is a beautiful area. I took my father camping there 2 years ago. I too would love to get a bike buy my wife is 110% against it, thinking I'll absolutely die :help:

My wife thought she could keep me from getting one as well. Finally after she said to me"your not getting a bike" for the 100th time.I informed her that there is no place on the sales app for "Wifes signature",Im getting a bike. She gave up and said,"make sure you have a good insurance policy"Ahhhhhhh, yes love is in the air.

thumbs2: life insurance policy?

My problem is that I eventually want a crotch rocket... but she thinks that that will be my very first bike. I keep telling her that I want an old beater to start with but she doesn't want to hear it. :14:

Yup,life insurance.I told her if she wants to collect on my death then she should pay the premiums.I never understood paying that myself.:sconfused: Anyway, this bike has ne thinking about my next bike,if I had the money to keep 2 around it would be the Triumph Thruxton cafe bike. That is a sweet ride but not for longer cruises over an hour or so.I also really like the looks of the new t-bird,now thats a nice bike.

Glad your enjoying your bike. One of these days I'll get another and I know what I want. It will be a Harley Street Glide. I have always loved the Glides!
