Gasping for air?????

hi all. please help i just don't know what to do. ALL my mollies,even balloon mollies and platies are almost constantly at surface gasping for air. they look fine and had them 4months and only now are they doing this. ive been Doing frequent water changes and stepped up airation in my well planted tank. problem is that its only them out of other 50 fish? i don't suspects O2,like I said other fish are fine. i've battled with white spot too once again ONLY with these ones. im starting to think it's the store I get them from and all of those species that he has and gets from wherever are dodgy. any advice would be much appreciated. thanks!!!:help:

How high is the temp? And how big is the tank? I'm suspecting the temp's a little high.

According to your profile you house 50+ fish in a 250 litre tank? I might have read that wrong, but that seems like a TON of fish in a tank that size.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

55 fish and 25 species...could you list the fish please? (Species, then number of each species) That might be part of your problem.

We'll need more info on the tank and fish to help although gasping for air isn't a good sign.

At the very least I would check all your water parameters, make sure you water temp is where it's suppose to be and add an airstone if there isn't one there already.

hi. wow thanks for all the replies! like i said ive been battling with white spot with only them. i recently upped the temp to 30°C for 5 days while treating them and GRADUALLY lowerred it to 25°C after curing. ive got an external filtering system and a powerfull airpump hooked to a 2ft airstone.
according to shop where fish come from all are peacefull. biggest are bala sharks going on 22cm. ive had livebearers the longest and only now this. ive watched them for hours night and day and none are terrorizing them. ph is always 7 to try and accomodate all.
