Well, I know why San Franciso is so happy but what about the others? I think they must be all regular boozers. :ssmile: No one drinks in my town but then they also don't talk, smile, acknowledge you or tell a joke! Good place for land mines!

Well these are just the cities, I know the happiest country list looks quite a bit different.

I really can't believe San Fransisco made the list. I live just a few miles from there and frequent it often. It may be one of the most tolerant cities, but I've lived in WAY happier cities that didn't make the list (i.e. San Antonio, TX)

I don't think San Fransisco is the happiest city in Northern California, much less the world. I would love to see the data they used.

I read that, that survey was only based on people's perception of those cities and not on reality.

I can tell you that Sydney and Melbourne are great places BUT LOL!! people who work in Sydney will tell you that they are far from happy with the traffic congestion, it is too hectic/crowded (you may like that though) and too expensive to live there.

Melbourne is far more cultural/arty than Sydney, BUT the weather can make you just plan miserable...it is one of those places that will have the four seasons in one day.

Yes Lady Hobbs! there is usually a pub on nearly every corner, which is frequented every night by many when the working day is over ...:hmm3grin2orange:
