It depends on the carrier. I havent used the site you listed (im from U S)
It is quite possible to ship fish safely and effectively if thats what you are asking though.

I have found it fine. BUt it all depends on the supplier and shipper as the fish quality.

Most shippers ship so you have your fish in two days. Fish should be quarantined for two weeks after you receive them.

edited for spelling AGAIN! GRRRRRRRRR

I've also been wondering what your experiences have been with shipping fish. Where I live, I think there's a really wide / vast selection available, however, we are planning to set up for a Flowerhorn eventually and I am nearly for sure that fish will have to be shipped. Also, when our current bettas are no more, I may want to buy online to get something extra fancy if it's likely he would arrive alive thumbs2:

properly conditioned and packed fish can tolerate a week in transit, most arrive in 3 days or less

I've ordered fish online and had REALLY mixed results. One order from Drs F&S arrived with 50% dead fish, and I got a refund for the entire order which was nice of them, but overall a bit of a hassle. One order from aquabid arrived completely dead. The shipper refused to refund my order blaming me. I reversed the charges on my credit card and got a cranky email from them but never heard from them again. My last order was from a friend angelfish breeder. 100% live, awesome quality.

Just be careful and make sure you know exactly how they are going to be shipped and when they'll arrive.

Fish have to go through the mail to get to your LFS or chain pet store anyways so i don't see why its a big deal to buy online. Buy from companies that have guarantee on the fish or if you buy from a breeder, make sure they have good reputation and have done business many times before. I've gotten a few critters through the mail and each time i had a positive experience. Breeders often put more into a bag than you pay for to cover a loss, and if they all arrive safe, you have bonuses. Just be smart about who you buy from and make sure they are a good breeder/company before you buy.

I just recently mail ordered cichlids for my new tank. 35 fish, all juvies. All arrived alive and are doing well. They were floated 20-30 mins and put in and ate within an hour. Point is, search for reviews of online distributors and, IMO, look for 99% approval or better.
