Hi my name is Lauren.

Just found your site & forum.....it is excellent!
I have had fish on and off since I was a kid. Mostly goldfish I saved from being feeder fish...yes I have a bleeding heart. LOL
This year I have found livebearers to be my new fascination as they are not too complicated and still very pretty and tropical.
I have three 10 gallon tanks which currently house mollies, guppies and swordtails....and my lone betta who is very happy with all his active little companions...lol....oh and a few tetras for variety LOL always forget about those little guys. I have an empty 7 gallon and a 29 gallon hanging around the house still....they used to house a chameleon at another point in my life (baby tank and adult tank lol).
Anyways....I won't ramble on any longer. :)
Love your forum, hope to learn alot and make friends here.

Ciao,
Lauren

Hi Laura,
Nice to meet you!
I am sorry I don't know anything much about Puffer fish other than they are pretty damn cute and cool. I saw one once in a tide pool in Australia! :)
I lived in Australia for a year in 2003....mostly lived and worked in Sydney. Did some Gold Coast and Fraser Island.
Where do you live?

Hey crackatinny :)

I went for Christmas to my aussie roommates family's home way out in the country....about 8 hour drive from downtown Sydney.
I can't remember the town's name for the life of me which is a shame. it's been a while.
But I remember seeing incredible desert storms with lightning in the distance, flashes of beautiful red and gold. It was so brilliant.
And spending X-mas in a pool because me the canadian couldn't handle the amazing scorching heat!! And my roommate turning over logs on his parents huge farm lot and showing me scary poisonous spiders and I prompty hid in the house for the rest of the day until he told me they probably inhabit the house too!!! HAHA.

Mate I'm an Aussie born and bred, and I can't stand the 45C+ temps here mid summer:hmm3grin2orange:

Well then good to know I am not alone....as much as I had a great time there, I don't think I could function as a normal person day to day LOL in heat like that. Travelling was one thing....haha
