I have a Marine Land fiter system and I wonder if I can reuse the filter after washing it out?

Don't see why not. Just make sure to give it a good rinse to wash out the dead stuff. Don't use any soap just a 10% bleach solution if you need to disinfect it. Rinse and let it dry and you'll be good to go.

Yeah definitely! i reuse old dried up spare filters all the time.
Wipe down the filter with some water and a paper towel and you should be good to go. You might want to pull apart any of the impellers to make sure there aren't any crusty pieces that could cause problems. Just don't use any soap when cleaning.

take out the cartridge and swish it around in a bucket of treated tap water OR old tank water. You can then take a stiff bristled brush and lightly scrub off the nap--it will come pretty clean. Keep in mind however that those things have carbon in them, and once carbon is a certain age you should throw it away to prevent it from back-leeching stuff into the water. You can slit the cart open and dump out the carbon, then stuff the cart full of filter floss(i used to do this with my emperor and topfin filters). Then you have a home-rolled renewable carttridge that will filter better than it did originally

I reuse my filter media until it falls apart. I need my money more than the filter companies do.

Do you mean the filter or the filter media?
Two completely different things.
