Dalmatian Mollies

One of my dalmatian mollies dropped several fry exactly one week from today. Right now I have the 9 that I've been able to find in a breeding net and they all seem to be doing very well.

I've read that leaving fry in a net too long may stunt growth, and I certainly don't want that to happen. I'm going to be out of town next week for spring break (I will have someone stopping by to feed them), but want to know roughly how long I should wait before letting them lose?

Should I wait until I come back? Sooner? Longer?

can you separate the babies into a 5 or 10g tank?

If they are <--> or bigger, then they should be fine. If you have enough cover for your fry and the adults are well fed, then you shouldn't have problem. Most fry that are eaten are gone in the first 48 hour, before they really get a hang of hiding and swimming.
