I found bristle worms in my tank today, almost longer than my fingers and there are more than one. I'm pretty sure they were bristle worms, they were orange and such, with bristles. and such.

The problem is I just got a Condylactis (Condy) Anemone, and I was wondering would the bristle worm kill the anemone? I was reading other posts about it, and they say the bw are scavengers, but I know they aren't using those bristles for scavenging.

Thank you thumbs2:

Bristle worms are harmless to things in your tank and a great part of the cuc. The larger ones can harm you though so be careful. I wish I had more, but my coral banded shrimp killed all but the few that escaped to our sump

You want mine? I have a lot since I started this tank. I'm just afraid if I make a wrong move it'll sting me.

If your afraid of being stung im gonna have to say theres a lot of sstuff that you wont be able to put in your tank. I just found 3 bristleworms in my tank and I think there pretty awesome.

Theres just something about a worm with bristles that freaks me out. Id rather just not have them. Theres people that went to the hospital because of this kind of thing. And most of the stuff I put in my tank wont send me to the ER.

I guess we just have to be careful.

If your concerned about being stung pick up a pair of rubber gloves , a lot of people wear them for that very reason.

The bristles are for self-defense.
