Not really sure how to describe it, but it looks like they silly stringed my tank with their poo. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or if on (or more) is sick, and what to do about it?

far out!Iv never seen that before.I you sure its shrimp stuff?How old is this tank?

It's at least 5yrs old. The only other thing in there is the BN pleco, and his stuff is in the moss and on the rock. It almost looks like a trail.

It wasn't there last night, but surprise!! this morning it was.

My guess its its a poop string from the bn? Plecos have long poop strings sometimes

Long poop strings can mean digestive problems or internal parasites, so keep an eye out

I really doubt that much poop (if thats what it was) came from the shrimp

If thats plec poop,it has a major problem.WT may be right.

I thought it was the BN, but he hasn't been out all day, and it's coming back. Here's a picture of something that is similar in color to the strings:
