What kind of camera are you using? And do you use any extra lighting?

I got mine at Best Buy... around $800 but I'm sure you can get them cheaper online. My camera, believe it or not, is considered, "entry level"... LOL

It's not a terribly hard camera for me now (so I say).... but I'm still learning stuff all the time by trial and error. Go online and do some research.... there are a lot of great cameras out there. I chose this one because I read good things about it.

Did you try and "refresh" the screen? i can still see them! thumbs2:

Awesome photos Mith, do you use an external flash or the one on the XSi? What lens are you using? Do the turn off the aquarium lights?

I use the camera's flash only (aquarium lights on). My lense is the one it comes with...17/55 I think. I also take photos without the flash, I just adjust the ISO and the shutter and the "F" number to accommodate the darkness.

I really love my Canon Rebel XSI 450D. I knew nothing about cameras and pretty much am where I am now by trial and error.

Very nice, very nice. I've got the digital Rebel XT which is almost 4 years old (i.e. 3 models back). But great camera. Thanks!

Ya, they just keep getting better and better!

Ya, most of them are. Though tons died in my media snafoo.... I've got nitrites and nitrates off the charts... trying to get the tank settled in. I guess removing the old sponge/bubbler and washing the media killed the cycle BIG TIME!

I threw some bacteria in it today. Will do another huge water change tomorrow. I also added a bubble strip to help with oxygen.
