I've been asked why so many old threads are still showing up and why don't we get rid of them. Tonight I even noticed several posts from 2004 and 2005.

Since these threads continue to be resurrected from the dead, I started up the vacuum cleaner and getting rid of them.

In doing so, however, if you've posted in those threads and the threads disappear, you lose post counts. I'm afraid I didn't take that into consideration when I started cleaning house. The new members lost nothing since they've only been here a short time but us older members will notice it in our post counts quite a bit, I'm afraid.

Possibly there may be a way that William can make it so these old threads don't hang around forever instead of having to go thur the delete.

Removing posts does as you noticed reduce post count and it is therefore best not to do that. They all contain valuable information that can help people searching the web for information and are therefore best left alone.

Old posts are removed from the first page once enough other posts are made in that forum unless someone post new things in them.¨

I will not change that and want old posts to be left alone.

All or at least almost all of the old post has been restored. See my announcement for info on why.

I still love you hobbs, my lady.
