guppy enjoying carrot

Last night I put in a small piece of boiled carrot for my shrimp and other bottom dwellers. To my surprise my sole remaining guppy immediately started to nibble on it. Is this normal for them?

Most fish will nibble on most vegs when you put them in the tank. I have heard of people having fish that like bananas!

Ive found that guppys will eat almost anything you give them, mine like all kinds of stuff.
