Oh yeah those roots would look pretty cool in an aquarium

Oh, I fish there all the time. Ive caught some pretty big ones too. One time I snagged a 50 pound tarpon in that same spot. It took 2 of us to get it in. I also catch snook and catfish pretty often. Next time I go fishing there, I'll take some photos of my catch.

Never forget your camera when you go near the water!
There is always something cool to take a pic of. lol

I love river fishing! We have so many nice ones around here. I have caught quite a few monster Pike and Pickeral in those quiet spots.

I know! Fishing in the swamp is the greatest. One time we took a boat way out to the middle of the swamp, we spent an entire day and night tied off to a tree, just fishing and looking up at the starry sky, framed by a canopy of mangrove trees. In the morning we found a sweetspot with an entire school of dogtooth snappers. Must've caught about 5 of them when we saw a bull shark in the area and decided to clear out as they can get pretty nasty with small boats. I tell you, those snappers pack a hell of a bite though, and are fun to catch.

The thing about swamp fishing is that its so relaxing. You lean back and have a beer , enjoy some good banter and when you least expect it... WHAM! you got a big one on the line. So different from out at sea where theres always a bunch of nibbles and you have to keep re baiting.
