Hi everyone - my name is Deirdre and I'm new to this forum.

I have two 9 year old goldfish.

To cut a long story short I introduced 2 new plants, bought from a pet store in October and boy, oh boy I've had nothing but problems since (the plants were thrown out after 4 days, when I noticed everything was not right).

Now it seems like Argulus have invaded the tank - I do not see any on the fish (but obviously they must be there) - I have removed any I've seen manually from the glass. The water is immaculate - all the tests are good - I treated with praziquantel on saturday as I assumed they had flukes as they were bottom sitting.

Now any advice on how to treat them or the different treatments available would really be appreciated. I've looked it up and it seems to be treated with organophosphates which seem to be banned over here - I'm in Ireland.

Thanks
Deirdre

Have you read treating argulus (http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/universal-viewid179.html)?
