Sudden appearance of snails?

I noticed recently that I have a bunch of small snails on the botton of my tank. I havent gotten any new plants in a while so I dont know where these came from. My YO YO Loach should take care of them, I was just wondering how they appeared.

What a cruel, hard thing to hear haha. But ya most likely that. Hopefully your loaches are hungry

Sometimes snails will linger in a tank at low levels. If there is ever a surplus of food however a single snail can lay a LOT of eggs. It's all downhill after that.

Something similar happened to me while I was setting up my tetra tank. Suddenly I had snails everywhere. I used a glass jar with some zucinni to get rid of them. Now they are almost completely gone from the tank.
