Oh gosh, I'll let someone else tell you bout the overstocking because I am not too sure about coldwater fish (you probably are) But i DO know that mollies and guppies are tropical fish and need a heater. I don't remember seeing if you had gotten one or not. What happened to the other 3 guppies? You did have 4 didn't you?

Since you now have a heater, I would have bought more guppies (as you only have 1 now) instead of goldfish. 1 goldfish requires at least 20 gallons and for each additional goldfish after that another 10 gallons is necessary.
I would strongly advise anyone, not to "guess" when it comes to the fish they have....Please research the fish before you buy them. Goldfish also need more oxygen than tropical fish do and the warmer the temperature in the tank, the less oxygen there is...
Goldfish have different dietary needs to tropical fish and for one, they need more protein in their diet, I would advise buying food specifically for goldfish. One reason IMO that it isn't a good idea to mix tropical's with coldwater fish. The guppies and mollies probably will be faster at getting to the food also. On a long term basis, I don't believe that it is a good idea to give tropical fish goldfish food or vice versa...it can be difficult to make sure each species (as in coldwater/tropical) needs are catered for if they are kept in the same tank.

oh great! :scry: well.... i guess a can manage the feeding part... its the temp that matters more now :sconfused:
could I reduce the temp a little...? Iv read somewhere mollies can do without a heater... true?

I really hate to say it but if you can, take the goldfish back. or get a seperate tank just for them. Warm and cold water fish don't do well together. I honestly think that you're asking for issues. I have no doubt you could balance that fine line between the warm and cold and types of food but in my opinion all that will really do is just barely meet the needs of what you have. None of them will really end up with what they need but just enough to get by.

Mollies tend to do better in a brackish environment as well.

Many say that Goldfish are fine in those temps., I would be concerned about the oxygen level for them in the higher range temps. (others may think differently), but if you have a filter that aerates/oxygenates the water really well and kept up with the water changes etc....it may be fine.
Goldfish handle fluctuations in temperature far better than tropical fish are able too, goldfish don't need a heater BUT tropical fish do, including mollies.
I would also advise taking back the goldfish, or keeping them in a separate tank...they really are not meant to be together IMO.

if at all im shifting any, it'll be the mollies then... il put them in my empty 10 for the mean time.... that would be fine right?
and LITTLEMBERS, yes i do have a filter that pupms air along with the filtration and I have an airstone too... so i guess that will take care with the oxygen part..
