L102 & L142 both snowball pleco?

Hi i am currently broswing info about pleco's and i came across two different plecos both named snowball pleco. One is L142 and the other is L102. L142 apparently gets up to 12 inches long and can be territorial. L102 on the other hand, is peaceful and stays small up to 6 inches long.

I just wanna know which one is which because i have a snowball pleco (assuming its L102) and i wanna mix other cool plecos with him but i dont want him to get territorial. Is there anyway for me to tell the difference?

L142 has big white spots, while L102 has small white spots... L142 gets bigger.
