thanks guys. ive never had a "big" dog before- only little foxy x's and maltese things so im finding it all a little different (very different lol). when he runs his legs kinda stamp and you can hear him bounding up the hall. and you can play alot rougher with him too. the main thing is when he sometimes sleeps in our bed, he takes up more than me!!!! the great thing im finding with him is that he is like the best family dog. i have two young kids and he is gentle enough to play with them, we also have 4 other dogs. two little and two bigger than him and he knows when he is with the little ones to play gently and when with the big ones (particularly the big boy seth) you can play heaps harder.
to demonstrate the size of seth ive put in this pic lol

LOL I have always preferred bigger dogs.I am used to having shepard/husky mix breeds but that bloodline ended with my last dog.
The dog I have now is shep, lab and some kind of hound mix.Hes turning into a fantastic dog.Very gentle and about 100lbs now.
They are fun as long as they aren't tearing passed you and taking you out at the knees!:hmm3grin2orange:

:hmm3grin2orange: hahaha i hate being taken out b seth, its painful. he has one of those rope toys... i learnt the hard way that i shouldnt play with him by pulling it when he has it in his mouth though. i got pulled so hard i landed on the gravel driveway!!!!

Stick to tossing a ball.
It hurts a lot less!:hmm3grin2orange: I'm sure Seth will learn to be more gentle. They do know better. It just takes some time and patience.

Ouch! But that's a great looking dog, I have to say. thumbs2: I think my next dog will probably be a bull mastiff, just because of how great the breed really is. Have fun with that guy! :19:

Large dogs are definatly more fun :22: My own dog outweighs me by a good 30lbs, but is gentle as a kitten.
