Sick barb?? help?

Hi I have a golden barb fish,

Im not really sure what is going on with it! It seems that its underbelly has become increadibly swollen and is progressively swelling over the days. It seems to be finding it harder to swim due to the swollen belly. The other fish in the tank seem to be fine. It's just this particular fish which seems to have had this problem slowly getting worse (we noticed it intially about a month ago) I've not yet been able to find any answers on the internet in general and was wondering whether any one could offer some advice?

Sounds like bloat. What type of barb is this?

the 2 most likely causes is 1. swim bladder disease- usually caused by injury or rapid change in water temperature during transport.

2 - malawi bloat caused by improper diet and or constipation.

regretfully, i have never recovered a fish once this condition appeared.
