heater not working?

the tanks at the lfs have real warm water i noticed.... I just got a 100w heater for my 29g tday basically to treat Ich my fishes have. Its been on for about 3 hours now... but the water temp still feels the same as before...colddd... its set to 28 degrees. Should I be raising the temp?

it will take awhile, do you have a thermometer?

theres this light on the heater which goes of once the temp is achieved..... and it went of in less than 10min! hows tat?? room temp is 25 c... thermometer in the tank shows 26.5...iv set the heater to 31 degrees...but it went of so quick!
is the heater faulty??

Ive had a simular problim. i unpluged it for a miniuted than pluged it back in and it has worked ever since.


but in florida it is close to 80'f in my house so i don't need mine till the winter
