I want to set up a cichlid tank, what size tank is minimum for some kribensis and convict cichlids?

I have room for a four foot long tank what volume tank could this be and how many of the above fish can go in it.

I have very hard water at home so they should be happy in my tap water once it has been dechlorinated.

Is it best just to set up a pile of rocks and a sandy substrate for them, do they like driftwood?

Any other things I should look out for?

That's the length of a 55, 75 and 90 gallon. The 75 is 6 inches wider is all (same length) and the 90 is the same as the 75 but taller is all.

Don't keep the kribs and convicts in the same tank, the convicts would harras the kribs. The krib tank should be heavily planted with plenty of hiding places. They prefer slightly soft, acidic water, but can handle neutral to slightly hard warter.

At the minimum i would go with a 40 gal. I think you would be quite happy with a 55 or 75. Plenty of stocking options and more room.
