I realize I might have jumped the gun picking up a yo yo for my newly cycled tank, but it was feeding great and very active the first day I had it. Now it seems to have gone into hiding inside one of my pieces of driftwood. Could this be because I only got one and it's just stressed out? My water numbers have been great, no ammonia or nitrite and PH 6.8ish (I'm still having trouble reading these stupid vial test kits) I was planning to get about 3 more on Thursday when my LFS gets newest shipment in, but I'm worried about the one I have now lasting till then. Any suggestions?

Oh and btw its a 72 gallon bowfront, 6 neons, 4 bloodfins, 3 fat guppies and 2 fry. planted tank, driftwood and slate. The rest of the fish are doing great so far.

It's probably just stressed from not being in a school like it usually is, as well as being stressed from moving to a new tank.

It should be fine until you get him some friends.

They will hide and be very shy if not kept in schools.
I agree a new tank will stress them to hide as well.
Here is a bit of info for you.

I've got two yo yos that do great with african cichlids. They just need tank companions that are around there size.

You got lots of room for at least 5 more of themBe careful adding any more till you are sure you are totally cycled. They dont do well with toxins. How long have you had the tank? And how long has it been cycled?

Thanks for the fast answers everyone, I did the insta cycle with used media on Sat morning, had the guppies in Sat night. Sunday I got the tetras and the yo yo. The yo yo was an impulse buy, I know I probably shouldn't have but couldn't resist. I am getting rid of the guppies when I get my next batch of fish, hopefully that will help keep the ammonia levels and such down from new fish load.

I am still testing the water every day, and so far everything is going well.
