lazy/inactive gourami?

i bought three sunset gouramis the other day
two are doing well and are active
but i keep catching one of them sitting on the floor

now i'm aware of their breathing differences
so is he just chillin on the floor
because he doesn't have to swim around? LOL
or should i return him while i can?

If you feel there is a problem with the fish and you are still able to return it,I suggest you do!
Pick another that is active in their tank.Be sure to look it over carefully before taking it.

You might want to return him. The only time I've had that happen with gouramis they died within a few days. Most recently that occurred with one of my pear gouramis. He seemed fine for the first week or so, then hung at the bottom of the tank for 4 days and I found the body on the 5th day (14th day total in the tank). The store gave me a refund becuase they have a 14 day policy, but you might want to bring him back while you still can.

That is not normal behavior for any gourami I have ever had. I would exchange him.

i am having the same exact problem with two of my gouramis they just want to sit on ground by my airator idky but what is there to do because it has been happening for about 2 weeks

Has anyone checked their water when this happened? I checked mine and they were fine, but I'd like to know if others are fluctuating.
