I have a 30 gallon aquarium with various community fish.
Among these fish, I have 3 platies.........sex unknown.

Yesterday, I switched from fake plants, to live plants, and on of the platies seems to have taken a liking to one of the plants.

I don't remember what type of plant it is, but it is a bushy plant. One of my platies has been resting in it since I put it in. All of the other fish in the aquarium, including the other platies seem to have adjusted quite nicely.

Is this what they do when they are spawning?

Any info would be great. I am very new to aquariums.

Platies are live bearers. Might be just curious about having something new. I had an angel that would literally attack one plastic plant all day long. Bend it right down into the gravel. Of course it would come up again and the attack would continue. I finally removed the plant it stressed him out so much. LOL
