can you help me identify the Pseudotropheus in my tank, They were left by my ex when she moved out.

Looks like a Jaguar cichlid, but I've never seen one with stripes before.

I think what you have there is a Pseudotropheus tropheops.
I am sure some one else will come along and give you a better idea though.

Seems like some sort of central american/south american cichlid (not my forte). Not an apparent african cichlid in my opinion, and definately not a member of the pseudotropheus genus.

I'd say it's a CA/SA cichlid, but which one I have no idea. Does not look african to me. Maybe post for an ID in the SA area.

it looks more ca/sa cichlid to me. if its african it could be a buttikoferi which gets big and VERY aggresive.

You're right oscar, it's a jaguar. Babies will have stripes like that which turn into spots as it grows. It's Central Amercian.
