So I had my 10 gallon set up for about 1 month, and then bought a 30 gallon. I have had my 10 gallon set up for a longer time years ago. So my 10 gallon is empty, and am thinking about setting it up in the basement. I have everything to run it, my only question is what would be something unique to do?
Such as Krayfish, or something similar?
Any ideas would be great.

Shrimp tank? You could breed red cherry shrimp and sell them.

crayfish are fun. Firebelly toads, firebelly newts, and mudskippers are also a possibility

Shrimp would look great in there, but you would need quite a few, I kept "losing" my shrimp in the 10 gal (only 9 right now) but in the 2 gal I can see them quite well.
If you go with small crayfish let me know if they breed easily, I would love to breed crayfish for my puffers.
Speaking of puffers, there are several small puffs that would like your 10 gal that are freshwater. Dwarf puffers being the most common.:41:

Crayfish would only be a good idea if you kept it a crayfish only tank. Otherwise, they will kill anything that they can get their claws around. They also breed very easily. The female will carry the mass of eggs under her tail, untill it is time for them to hatch. Then she will find a place to release them. You could have anywhere from 50-250 babies for each clutch.
