I finally broke down today and went to Best Buy and bought a new Nikon D60....fabulous camera BTW. Just going to take alot of getting used to...I have managed to take some pretty decent shots for my first round I think. Actually caputred a pair of male rosey barbs which I have NEVER been able to do before. There is alot more true to life clarity and perfection to the images.
But anyway...to the main point of the message. If you need any electronic items take advantage of this...Best Buy is having an online sale and the stores do honor the sale prices. Lots of big savings on various items...plus not sure if all stores are doing this but my local Best Buy was giving out the free tax on all items in the store. I managed to save well over $80 on my camera...my SO bought a laptop and saved about $200 on it. :22:

Nice find. There was a tax free weekend here last weekend. Just bought some sneakers and a hd for the comp. Kind of scary at the lines some stores had, too many dang people.

That camera sounds sweet! Once i get setup at my new job I'm going to try to pickup a DSLR.
The tax free days are also awesome. The next time we have one around here I think I'm going to pickup a new suit and a few other things.
My wife and I are trying to figure out if we buy a house and close on a tax free day will that still work. :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Thanks guys now all I need is the 55-200mm zoom lense, and a good macro lense :14: Sadly the macro will cost more than the camera so its gonna be awhile on that, lol

Try to cross it now-a-days and it's not so imaginary.

Its not like you can see it!lol
I never have a problem going in,its the Canadian guards that piss me off!
Our government would probably lose too much money with a tax free day.

You're absolutely right NG. I just long for the pre 9/11 days when a Vermonter could just drive across the border without hassle to see the Expos play or party in Montreal..lol..or both. Now it takes a special Vermont drivers license (twice as expensive and a hassle to get) or passport then still deal with the guards on a not so friendly basis. It's all necessary, I know, but it makes for a greater divide between Canadians and USians. Ahhh..those nights in Montreal..head for the boarder by 8 pm and we'd be back by 8 am the next morning. What am I saying..I'm too old for that now. :hmm3grin2orange:
