Hey everyone! I have had my turtle, Seafoam for over a year now! Love him to bits! I just upgraded him to a 55 gallon! He was in a 20 gallon long. I was wondering if it's possible to like get HEALTHY Guppy Fry and just have them in there for him to either eat or leave alone. I mean I know you can just get feeder fish, but those can be sick and are very fatty. That's why I want healthy babies! Thanks!

Most feeder fish are underweight, not fatty.

You can buy guppies, platies, danios, and many others. All could work well with a turtle.

What type of turtle?
How big is it?

He is a Western Painted Turtle. His shell is approximately 4-5 inches long. He is also a suspected male.

I wouldn't focus as much on guppies, there are many good options. Depending on tank size, setup, filtration, and water change schedule you could have anything from guppies to African cichlids. Anything fast enough to not be an easy meal is worth a shot.

He is in a 55 gallon, 80 gallons of filtration, and the water temperature is 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
