My Setup

I have a 30g with
2 4" orandas (tip to tail)
1 2.5" catfish,
1 5" (don't know whats the name of him , but he cleans the sides of the tank) i call him stinky.
Tetra Whisper Filter 30
Air Blower
1 live pant
River stones
Coloured Gravel
Lighted Cover

I'm new to the fishing world and would like to know if i'm doing it right.
Can someone please advice me?

"Stinky", is probobly a Plecostomus.

Sounds pretty good. The pleco will grow too large for your tank though. What species is the catfish? Can you take any pics? You have a tank heater right? Orandas are ornamental goldfish, which need warm (70-75) water.

I live in the Caribbean and guessing the water is always a bit warm. Do i still need a heater?

Yes, I'm going to bet your tank water temp changes a bit and the fish don't like that.

Hi, ic1angel, I live in Trinidad too. I don't use a heater and my temperature is always either 29 degrees or 30 degrees. That's 84 and 86 F.

! That's much too high for orandas. Or most fish for that matter

people here keep goldfish and other fishes at that temperature all the time with no problems.

That temp is most sutible for bettas and discus, goldfish don't really like warm temps for a prolonged period.
