I've noticed that one of my angelfish has the top maybe 1/5th of his dorsal fin bent over sideways.
He is only about the size of a quarter not counting his fins. When I first got him I noticed his dorsal fin was kinda flat instead of the typical I guess arrow head shape and I assumed it would grow and fill out. It kind of looked as if someone gave him a flat top. Recently it has started growing noticeably but as I said it is bent over.
The thing is he is currently in a understocked 55 gallon aquarium with plenty of room. So I know it isn't due to him being cramped. I do weekly 30 percent water changes and all my water parameters are perfect.
Is it possible that it could be genetic? I'm certainly no expert but is it possible to trim the bent part off and have it grow back straight? I'm just really puzzled.
