terrestrial moss in aquarium

i was wondering how bad will terrestrial moss do in a aquarium? will it kill fish or will it just die?? ive always wondered and also has anyone ever tryed it?? just wondering

i have one area in my yard that grows a thick coat of moss its always wet and under the trees. i put some in the tank once didnt hurt the fish but only lasted a few weeks
