View Full Version : Salt Water Snail

I was in a doctor's office today and in their reef tank there were snails. At first I thought they looked a lot like my mystery snails until one decided to work his way across the side of the tank where I was sitting~~it had what appeared to be dual bottom and worked one side and then the other when moving, unlike mine which appears to have a single "foot"...what sorta critter is this snail?

Well, when mysteries stretch their foot out and "gun it" their foot takes on more the shape of a slice of bread. But in a reef tank they were probably turbo snails

On the contrary, Theres a lot more of a selection of invertebrates for sw, I believe. Its not uncommon to see Live-rock-with-inverts-only tanks, its neat stuffthumbs2:
