we have a 16 inch pseudoplatystoma fasciatum (tigrinus catfish). I am new to this world, but I really love this fish. He is like a dog. I hand feed him and if he is not hungry he positions himself so that I can cup him in my hand. From what I understand these are loner fish..but..from what I am experiencing, these are fish that love to be touched...so...any input?

wow annie, that sounds like a lovable fish! I watched this show on animal planet about strange animal relationships and this golden retriever would run over to the pond every time it got let out and stick his nose up to the water. And every time the same koi would swim up and touch noses! they were inseparable! It was one of the coolest fish stories i ever saw, so i could imagine how neat it is for you!:malelovies:
