Dang I thought this was a saltwater website o well. From my saltwater experience a few pointers with the fresh water would to get a water pump for like 20 bucks to get better water flow in your tanks. Change the water often, that is the difference from a bad tank and a clean one. Do not overfeed, making a dirty tank. Get a clean up crew, like a cleaner fish or shrimp or something. Try and keep the temperatures constant not going up and down, up and down. overstocking is not cool. :22:

A few things.
A) Welcome!
B) There is a rather large saltwater subforum with some very knowlegable experts.
Here is the general saltwater section:
http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aquariumforum/forumdisplay.php?f=62
And here is the Reef section:
http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aquariumforum/forumdisplay.php?f=98
C) You have some nice pointers there, those are probably some of the most common mistakes new people to the hobby make.
D) Why is this in the awards section? A mod will probably move it but next time be a little more careful.
