is there someone who use ozone gas(O3) in freshwater?
can person share own knowledge?

I have never heard of it being used in a tank.
What are the effects of it used for?

NG - its used to sterilize things in the tank. In a similar manner to a UV-sterilizer. Its often used in conjunction with a skimmer.

I've read mixed reviews, in high enough concentrations it can be lethal to plants and fish but there are ways of controlling it.
I believe its relatively expensive equipment but i must admit I'm no expert on it

Be really careful if you want to try ozone with freshwater. Some fish are fine with ozone, while others are REALLY sensitive and will die. I've heard REALLY mixed reviews about using ozone. The only person I know who uses ozone with freshwater sends all his ozone treated water into a holding tank for 48-96 hours before it goes into the fish tank.

I plan to set it up in my tank given a friend of mine has used it for years with his discus tanks. It's great for breaking down the organics in your tank, disinfecting it, and reducing the frequency of water changes without ill effects.

It can be costly for the various components, ozonizer, ORP controller, carbon reactor, and skimmer. (estimated at $1000-1500)
