does the filter have to be completely submerged or is it ok if just the region of suction (where the sponge lies) is submerged and the head sticks out?will it cause the filter to malfunction? just wondering..im planning on creating a waterfall or somethng like that for my 29g
thanx

ive no idea what your filter looks like so i cant tell you. If it follows the same ideals as the water pump, then they often need to be fully submerged (but some dont) - you should read the packaging and see what it says
