I have just joined and I have many questions that I hope someone out there in fishland can help me with. I inherited a 50 gal tank from my son When he moved away from home . It is nothing special but I enjoy fish very much and dabbled in it when I was younger so I thought that I would give it a try. My first question is: I have just introduced a new pleco into my tank that already has a similar sized pleco in it. Will they co habitate together or are they very territorial. Welcome to AC! young Plecos are generally peaceful but as they get bigger and older they become more territorial and aggresive toward their own kind.

Enjoy the 50 gallon aquarium. As long as there are hiding places and areas for them to stake claim they should get along.
