I just got a dwarf gourami.

After 3 hours of acting like a retard and zipping across the glass, hes finally sitting down.

I dunno, because ive really never kept gouramis except for the odd one, and i think mines building a bubblenest. Theres about 50 bubbles on the side, and theres no bubble want in the 6g tank, and the filter is not spraying at all.

Is it a bubblenest? what does it mean?

I think i've asked this question before, but not sure if it got answered...what is a bubblenest, and why do fish make them? I dont think any of my community fish made them yet, if i even know what they are??

Oh, i read that chrona bought a gourami and he said it was pacing back and forth for awhile at the front glass before it settled down too. at least i think it was a gourami...

Male gouramis make bubblenests when they want to attract females. Basically they suck in air, mix it with some kind of mucus, and spit it out at the desired sport. They do this many many times until there is a patch of film at the top. Then they take all kinds of plant matter and chuck it there, using the film to keep it bound. Gourami eggs float, so they lay their eggs underneath the whole thing.

Here's a vid I saw on youtube when I was doing research prior to getting my gourami

Yeah it is. Hopefully my guy can keep his mojo in check so he doesn't rip up the marsilea carpet I spent an hour planting
