After trying for 3 times, my LF zebras have finally laid 20-30 eggs.

I have removed the adults from my spawn tank. Now I want to ensure atleast 50% survival....

I have kept some aquarium water with a few dead leaves and mulm, in window sill for green water.

I also have a clump of java moss in my tank, which i plan to move to fry tank. Any advice will be appreciated....

Ooh, successful danio spawning. Congrats!
Seems like you've done an equal amount of research as I have, so, I can't be of much help. But good luck, anyways. Hope they survive!

My eggs are turning white and dissolving into a white cloud. Is this because they are infertile, or because of fungus?

Both I would say, the eggs will naturally develop fungus over time if infertile. Are they definitely a male/female danios?

Well, since just one fish was courting the other three, I think there is a male and 3 females, unless females court as well. :D

Sounds like they were infertile.

Honestly, if you want more danios I would just move the school from tank to tank, thats never failed for me since they really are almost constantly breeding. Juvies look cooler than the adults

Yippee!! Atleast 1/3rd of them hatched. Ohh, I am so nervous. I want to try and make them all make it to adulthood!!

I have put in a cup full of java moss from my main tank into the spawning plastic box.

Some of them have started swimming around. Oh, I hope, I hope they all survive!:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

Many many years ago I found a single tiny fry in a community tank. I placed it into a 2 gallon glass tank, no heater, with plenty of live plants. It eventually grew large enough to be recognizable as a zebra danio. Youshould be able to raise most of the hatchlings, just make sure they get fresh doses of green water frequently until they grow large enough to eat microworms. If you need a starter culture I can hook you up for about $3 shipped First Class Mail.

Thanks toddnbecka, an aquarist friend of mine has agreed to trade some starter culture with me.

Till then, I have this finely powdered brine shrimp. I have put in a large clump of java moss into the tank as well.

The only problem is water quality, I cant get the infertile egg material, which has become foul, and some adult fish poop as well.

Any ideas how to clean everything?

You can use a piece of airline to siphon w/out worrying about sucking up eveything else. I've done that with baby cherry shrimp...
