A video of my Aquarium. :ssmile: Have had it set up for a little over a year now. I've got a pretty bad breakout of diatome algae, can probably see it in the vid, but not so well. Its worked its way about an inch or so down into the sand, and all over my plants.

Maybe I should make a separate post where algae stuff should go lol

1 Blue Gourami (ID appreciated)
6 Blue Platies
8 Serpae Tetras
A female fiddler crab hiding in the rocks.

(Please excuse the under constructrion air globe/cave and unanchored airstone)

Yes I am! I just rescued two pregnant platies from wal mart. (hate seein how they treat their fish, especially the mamas) So depending on how many fry turn out from that I think ill almost be at limit by then.

the two Moms are in a 10 gal right now

That is a very nice setup - you have an eye for landscaping / aquascaping. Well done indeed! thumbs2:

Very nice set-up! thumbs2: It has a natural feel to it, but still looks elegant enough for even the fanciest homes.

Beautiful 3-Spot Gourami. Rough idea of how long it is? :ssmile:

Thank you!! This good eye will come in handy when I start with live plants I think.

Again thank you for such kind words. Gourami is about 4 and a half inches long.

I freakin love your tank!!!!

It is so beautiful, Everything about it is so relaxing and just flows so well. I dont know if its the camera or not, but the lighting is just perfect.

I could go on, rippin' through every detail I like. But that might eat up a bit of space.

It's simply gorgeous! You've given me inspiration for my 55g which is, pretty hurten looking lol

I like the little Stonehenge arrangement to the left.

Does the gourami get on with everyone?

Is that a fish bowl?! I love it!

Thank you Chronic!! The lighting is a bit low I think. Theres two 15w lamps in the canopy (pretty shoddy, quick fixem job on the lights if you looked inside lol) I think ill have to upgrade those when I get some plants. :22: Glad to be some inspiration to ya.

Yes Gramazing, Bloo (the gourami) gets along with everyone thats in there now. One time I put a little african frog in there and he tried to rip it to shreds!! :scry: It was like Jaws, scared the heck outta me lol. I think he gets along with the rest either because he was added after them or just because he didnt know what the heck the frog was! lol

Lol yes, its a fishbowl I am going to use it to make an air spot for my fiddler crab, I just need to weigh it down more and build a hill of sorts up into the air.

Thank You so much for the compliments everyone!!:11:

Very neat tank! ......I like your "air spot" idea for your crab... should be very interesting. Let us know how that turns out. :fish:

Fishbowl cracked!!

For Crispy and Ranubis89,

The air cave is pretty simple and very useful if you have aquatic critters who like a breath of air once in a while and you dont want them crawling/hopping out of the tank. I was using a fishbowl that cracked(blush) but you can use any bigish clear glass bowl, I've done it before with a regular pyrex bowl upside down, propped up on one side and a mound of rocks on the inside of it for the crab/frog/ maybe even turtle can climb up to the air on. Stick an airstone on the underside of the bowl and lat the air flow. I advise carefully renewing the air once in a while. I'm sure the pressure in there gets wonky too. But as long as the bowl is heavier than the air inside it (make sense?) it should be ok. Use caution! that air escaping, trying to get to the top can throw the glass bowl around pretty roughly:14: Not so good in a glass box full of water lol. My water/air lovers usually find it on their own but might need guiding to it the first time.

(If my picture posting etiquette needs to be corrected PLEASE do so)
