I'm so proud. I've redone this tank last month and it's only been planted for about 5 or 6 weeks now. And today I noticed this:

(excuse the noise but I had to shoot at iso1600)

What puzzles me is why it would flower under water. Any ideas?

Nice! That's some variety of anubias, probably nana, and they do flower underwater. Plants looking nice :)

Looks like a peace lily to me and they're not even tank plants. ????

That's a beautiful pic.... you gotta give up the secret on such great-looking plants. I'd love any info you feel like sharing on your setup and how you keep the plants looking so good.

TT I think I have too much light on mine, lol.

EDIT: Make sure to remove the flowers after a while though, or else they rot

beautiful pic, noise hardly recognizable. What type of camera do you have?

This was shot with a Nikon D50 and a 28-105 lens.

My secret? Well.... I used tetra substrate in the tank but that shouldn't affect this plant because it's wired to the fake rock.

Here's another pic I shot of the tank. You can just see the wire I used to tie the plant.

Very nice shot! I'm still trying to figure out how to work my D70s. I can't seem to get clear shots of moving fish, and the lighting seems to be way off. Instruction manual is like 200 pages long though lol.

Well, depends on the lens you have. The 18-70 has a minimum distance of 38 centimeters, so that may be the issue. Up your iso, go to A mode and try to select an aperture that gets you at least 1/60 shutter speed.

I will check out my specs and report back. The camera was a gift from my uncle (not even sure why he bought me this thing....I would much rather have gotten a bigger tank lol)
